Meeting the Client
The main challenge that we face on a daily basis is how to address the importance and severity of the burn case. Egypt has one of the highest numbers of burns-related deaths worldwide, and about 250,000 people suffer from severe burns every year. Of this number, around 40% die due to not being saved within the first six hours following the injury.
Humanity Burn Free
Ahl Masr website needed help with navigation – the primary menu was bogged down with dozens of dropdown options and unclear navigation. The paths to conversion didn’t stand out which was a barrier for potential visitors to check the site content and donation collections.
Our focus for this website redesign project was all about improving the navigation for a stronger user experience. We wanted to reduce the main menu navigation dropdowns, boost the functionality of flat menu showing the most needed links and content, increase the contact of CTAs and donation collection components for cases, medical equipments and awareness about keeping safe from burns and first aid.
Ahl Masr already had well-known branding. We used their existing palette to rebrand the website look and feel to give the site a fresh a unique feel. Each page now features bigger images and more white space, creating a more inviting experience.
The donation form and cases that needs donations in particular have been totally revamped, targeting a better way of gathering info about the donor and adding a donation meter for each case to show a visual presentation of collections done for each case, which have boosted up the donation numbers compared to old website.
Getting All together
The new Ahl Masr website have a clear visitor paths for potential visitors to donate. The main menu helps users to locate the needed information after adding mega menu instead the previous mutlilevel menu and grouping content into a cleaner architecture.
Adding donation cases with donation meter and updating the donation form for marketing needs helped out Ahl Masr team to reach donation targets
